| Add caLG V30 review: First look ahead of the UK release dateption |
The V30 are its sophisticated audio and its dual rear camera set-up. The handset is one of the best looking phones LG ever produced to date and it comes packed with an impressive host of features. The price of smartphone has not been announced by the company and it can be announced by September 21, when it will hit the market.
With its magnificent features and an eye catching body, LG V30 release is bound to break all the records.
It is also LG's thinnest smartphone, measuring only 7.3 mm, 1 mm thinner than Samsung's latest Galaxy Note 8 but also featuring rounded edges.
In the case of the V30, you actually get the upgraded LG UX 6.0+. LG was the king of it all with the unveiling of the V30, but Motorola, Sony, Google, Samsung, and Nest also had some big products to show off. But its removal also touches on something else I've mentioned before: the increasing "sameness" of smartphones following the bezelless trend.
The current "megatrend" (as LG calls it) in the mobile industry for full-screen bezelless designs was the primary factor behind the introduction of P-OLED for the V30.
The LG V30 is powered by a Quadcore Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 with 4GB RAM.
When it's time to power the G6 and V30 back up, they both support Quick Charge as well as wireless charging. The connectivity options include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi (802.11a/b/g/n/ac), Bluetooth v5.0 with BLE, NFC, and USB Type-C 2.0 support with compatibility for USB Type-C 3.1.
As for those supreme audio-visual skills, you're working with a clever dual-camera setup at the rear - the largest of which is 16 megapixels with OIS and a wide f/1.6 aperture that should improve your low-light photography. The 16-megapixel shooter with f/1.6 aperture will let more light to enter the lenses to give sharper and highly focused images. You get a very similar design, with updated specs and some cool new features to help it stand out. There's also a quad-DAC inside the phone that does wonders for sound quality.
The LG V30 features the fingerprint sensor/power button on the rear panel. The wide-angle lens allows you to take a 3D-like panorama sweep with a distinct fish-eye effect without you having to move the device. The voice recognition will even work along with the music playback and it will be deeply integrated with the LG appliances that support voice-driven actions. Both devices come with IP68-rating for water- and dust-resistance.
